Tomorrow we head to Hawaii for about a week: 3 full days on Maui and 3 full days on Oahu. We have a packed schedule (as usual) and with this rainy, cold weather in Austin the timing for some 80 degree days in the sun couldn't be better!
Here's a brief rundown of our plans. Subject to change due to government shutdowns or other fun things we find or suggestions from you of things we must squeeze in. Hopefully this time I can figure out how to post pics again!
Friday:
-Early morning drive up Haleakala Crater for sunrise. Hike about.
-Visit Surfing Goat Dairy Farm and Ocean Vodka Distillery on the way down.
-Eat at Sheldon's (Top Chef alum) Tin Roof
-Nap time.
-Visit Lahaina.
-Feast at Lele luau!
Saturday:
-Breakfast at Kihei Cafe
-Road to Hana
-Late dinner at Mama's Fish House
Sunday:
-Snorkel tour of Molokini Crater and Turtle Town
-Maui Wine
-Lavender Farm
-Miso Phat sushi dinner
-Maui Brewing Company
Monday:
-Fly to Oahu
-Brunch at Koko Head Cafe (Top Chef alum Leann Wong)
-Halona Blowhole
-Koko Crater Railway trail
-Hanauma Bay (snorkeling)
-Dinner at Ahi Assassins
-Shave Ice and breweries
Tuesday:
-Liliha Bakery
-Jeep tour of Kualoa Movie Ranch
-Drive coast (see Banzai pipeline, get garlic shrimp)
-Dole Pineapple plantation
-Dinner at Mud Hen Water
Wednesday:
-Leonard's Bakery
-Diamond Head Crater Hike
-Rainbow drive-in lunch
-Pearl Harbor
-Manoa Falls
-Beers/Ciders/Mead
-Helena's Hawaiian Food for dinner
Fly home
