A European Adventure

 Hi everyone,

It's time again for an international vacation! Since Alison needed to head to the UK to teach for EDGE this summer, we decided to add a couple of extra stops in Europe while she was headed that way anyways. SO, here's the plan:

Trip #1: We take Anna to Greece for her (delayed) high school graduation gift! We've promised all our nieces/nephews a trip anywhere in the world when they graduate from high school. Anna is the oldest and her pick was Greece...so she could relive Mamma Mia!. SO, off we go!

Saturday, July 9: Anna flies Lexington to Atlanta, Michael flies Austin to Atlanta. Both have long layovers. Then, Anna and Michael go Atlanta to Athens and arrive in Athens at 11:30AM Sunday. Meanwhile, Alison is finishing up some work in Atlanta and then does Atlanta to London with the EDGE cohort. She's in London a few hours and meets up with Michael and Anna around 8:30PM Athens time on Sunday.

Sunday: Athens

Monday: Athens

Tuesday: Bus/ferry to Skiathos

Wednesday: Skiathos/Skopelos

Thursday: Volos/Portaria

Friday: Portaria/Athens

Saturday: depart Athens in the AM

At this point, Anna heads back to Kentucky and Michael and Alison head to Milan for 6 hours or so on our way to meet Alison's friend Romi in Iceland.

Trip #2:

Saturday: Athens->Milan->Reykjavik

Sunday: Reykjavik

Monday: Golden Circle

Tuesday: Southern Coast

Wednesday: Southern Coast/Sky Lagoon

Thursday: Morning flights

On Thursday, Michael will head back to Austin and Romi and Alison will head to London. Romi's teaching in SU's London program this semester and Alison will be headed to Oxford on Friday to co-direct EDGE 2022.

It's a lot of travel logistics in a very complicated COVID travel world, so hoping all goes well.  Hopefully many pictures and posts to come!
