Athens Arrivals

Michael and Anna arrived on time on Sunday in Athens. They got a taxi from the airport and we’re able to drop their bags at our Airbnb in Thisio area. They then went to lunch at a local nearby cafe. They had some meatballs, fried cheese, and tried some Grek wine. They also got free dessert!  They said the food was good, but they have to wait 2 hours to get their bill. :/ So long that Michael had to leave Anna and go check in while she continued to wait. No worries though…she was still waiting when Michael got back.

Then they did some relaxing at the Airbnb before heading to their Athens Food & Cultue tour. They made about 4 stops for food. Anna’s highlight was the chicken skewer. Michael liked the Greek quesadilla (as he calls it). They were not fans of the Greek tree juice called mastic. They also learned all about Greece!

Alison arrived at the airport around 7:30 and we were all finally reunited by 8:45 or so! Yay! We checked out the rooftop of our place which had a great view of the Acropolis. We went on a quick stroll around the neighborhood so Mike could get a late night souvlaki and Anna and Alison could get some gelato.

Day 1 done and we were all very tired and ready for sleep!
